Spartan Investigations & Executive Protection
Spartan is growing! We are currently hiring two flexible part-time armed security officers and interviewing for 10 full-time officers for the anticipated opening of our third facility with Acoustical Sheet Metal in early 2027.
We specialize in industrial security and are hiring both guard shack officers and roving patrol officers. Responsibilities may include access control, vehicle and employee monitoring, patrols, facility inspections, incident response, safety monitoring, and maintaining accurate security documentation.
Compensation and Benefits
Average starting pay: $19–$21 per hour (will discuss during interview)
Starting rate depends on professional experience, particularly within the security industry
40 hours per week guaranteed for full-time officers
Overtime opportunities available

Minimum Hiring Requirements
Applicants must:
Pass a criminal background check
Pass a professional reference check
Pass a pre-employment drug screening
Have reliable transportation
Be dependable, professional, and prepared for duty
Have their own duty belt, protective vest, and required job-related equipment
Be reasonably flexible and available for mornings, mid-shifts, overnights, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
A current Virginia DCJS private security registration card is strongly preferred. Applicants without a current registration may still be considered, and Spartan can assist in arranging the required training. All licensing and training requirements must be completed before beginning site-specific OJT.
Prior military, law-enforcement, corrections, industrial security, or professional security experience is highly valued.
Our operations are expanding to three industrial sites requiring 24-hour security coverage. Officers must understand that schedules, post assignments, and work locations may occasionally be adjusted to meet staffing and client needs.
Expansion Hiring Timeline
Interviews: October–November 2026
Conditional job offers: November 2026
Training and site OJT: December 2026
Third-site opening: Early 2027—exact date to be determined
